Release dates and patch history
2010 for the original, 17 October 2018 for the Steam 4K/HD edition, 29 October 2026 for the Enhanced Remaster DLC. The 2018 patches are not 2026 patches.
Two dates get confused in search results, so here they are side by side: the original game is from 2010, the 4K/HD Edition on Steam is from 2018, and the Enhanced Remaster DLC is from 2026. The 2018 patches are not 2026 patches, and nothing in 2026 changed the game's story or systems.

What each 2018 patch changed
- 1.0.0.1 — memory operations, a reworked shop and assembly/disassembly menu, and an End Game command on the title and pause menus. That last one exists because players pointed out the only way to quit was the Steam overlay.
- 1.0.0.2 — the biggest quality-of-life patch: target switching with up and down on a controller during combat, 1600x900 resolution support in the graphics options, the executable version shown in the title bar, map transition fixes, event skipping, wardrobe fixes and random battle transitions.
- 1.0.0.3 — font and number display, character skill display inside the menu, and the voice audio bug at the start of a second playthrough.
- 1.0.0.4 — infinite loading into a shop and sounds cutting out.
What the 2026 DLC changed
Only the rendering and the clock: native 4K, HDR, 120 fps support, upscaled character and environment textures, and 2x Game Speed. No story, system or achievement changes. The what's new page breaks those five items down.
Why the distinction matters
A lot of pages, videos and listicles mix the 2018 patch notes into 2026 coverage, which makes it look like the remaster shipped with fixes it did not ship with. The opposite mistake also happens: treating the 2026 DLC as a new game, which leads people to expect a new achievement list (there is not one; it is still 47 achievements) or new chapters (there are none).
